About Rusty Challenging, innovative, passionate and relevant; these are just a few words that describe Rusty's ability and desire to communicate the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ to the next generation. When Rusty speaks, his passion for truth is evident in every message. "I don't want students to hear what I have to say, I want them to hear what God is saying to them." Rusty believes that the power of God's word is relevant to every generation of students. "Truth is what will transform lives, change hearts and bring people to Jesus.  For any student to grow in Christ they must understand God's word and will for their lives."  Rusty's desire is to communicate truth in a relevant way that enables every student to grow and feel closer to God. Rusty is a former college basketball player who had the privilege of playing for Athletes in Action and representing the USA in South America.  Rusty's has had the chance to share Christ in 5 countries (Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru) and across the United States to crowds of 20 to 20,000. Rusty lives in the Birmingham area with his wife Leigh, and their four teenagers Luke, Jake, Nate and Ivy.  In his spare time he loves watching science fiction, reading comic books, is a reality TV fanatic and hopes to someday be a cast member on a socially interactive, challenge-driven reality TV show.
