Relevant, challenging, innovative and
passionate, these are just a few words that
describe Rusty’s ability and desire to
communicate the life changing truth of Jesus
Christ to the next generation. When
Rusty speaks, his passion for truth is
evident in every message. “I don’t
want students to hear what I have to say, I
want them to hear what God wants to say.
Truth is what will transform lives, change
hearts and bring people to Jesus. My
desire is to communicate truth in a way that
enables every student to hear directly from
God.”
Rusty’s experience
includes 20 years as a student pastor and
speaker, and growing up in a student
pastor’s home. Rusty’s unique style
combines teaching directly from God’s word
with humorous life stories, media elements
and an interpersonal approach to every
student audience. With every message
Rusty will challenge, motivate and teach
students what it means to be a follower of
Christ.
Rusty is a native and
lives in the Birmingham area with his wife
Leigh, and their four teenagers Luke, Jake,
Nate and Ivy. In his spare time he
loves watching science fiction, reading
comic books, and is a reality TV fanatic and
hopes to someday be a cast member on a
challenge-driven reality TV show.
